01Description of services

10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Portland provides no-gi Brazilian jiu jitsu and Bang Muay Thai instruction for adults, teens and children at our academy in Portland, Oregon. Our programs include Adult Jiu Jitsu (ages 16 and up, across Foundations, Integrated Grappling and Advanced Performance), Kids Jiu Jitsu (ages 4–16, split into Lil Legends, Kids and Teens), Women’s Only Jiu Jitsu, and Bang Muay Thai. We also offer free tours of the academy and single drop-in classes for visiting grapplers and prospective students.

02Eligibility

Our website is intended for users who are at least 18 years of age. If you are under 18, you may only use this website with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. Parents or legal guardians must submit enrollment information and provide consent on behalf of minors participating in our youth programs.

03Tours and drop-in classes

We offer a free tour of the academy to prospective students. Booking a tour does not create an obligation to enroll or purchase a membership, and nothing is signed or paid at the tour itself.

We do not run a free trial class. Anyone who would rather train than tour may book a single drop-in class, which is priced as shown on our website at the time of booking. All participants — or their parent or guardian, for minors — are required to sign a liability waiver before participating in any class, including a drop-in.

04Assumption of risk and liability waiver

No-gi Brazilian jiu jitsu and Muay Thai are contact sports that involve physical exertion and risk of injury. By participating in any class, training session, or event at 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Portland, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with martial arts training, including but not limited to sprains, strains, bruises, fractures, and other physical injuries.

All participants (or a parent or guardian on behalf of a minor) are required to sign a waiver and release of liability prior to participation. This waiver releases 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Portland, its instructors, staff, and affiliates from liability for injuries sustained during training, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

05SMS / text message terms

By providing your phone number and opting in to receive text messages from 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Portland, you agree to the following terms:

• You consent to receive recurring SMS/MMS messages from 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Portland, including appointment reminders, class notifications, and promotional messages.
• Message frequency varies. You may receive up to 10 messages per month.
• Message and data rates may apply. Contact your mobile carrier for details about your text messaging plan.
• Consent to receive text messages is not required as a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
• No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

06User communications and consent
